SLYBOOTS OBX, NC

Movement • Music • Mindfulness • Nature

Move with intention. Breathe with rhythm. Live in harmony with nature.

Slyboots OBX is led by /kyl-corrigan— a lifelong practitioner of movement, music, and mindful living, and a devoted student within the Slyboots lineage under Griffin Brady since 2005.

Kyl was living at the Slyboots School in 2008 during a formative chapter in its history, helping host the Saakumu Dance Troupe of Ghana for their first U.S. visit. That deep cultural exchange helped strengthen the Slyboots connection to West African music, movement, and community — a lineage rooted in Griffin Brady’s long-standing collaboration with Bernard Woma and built on humility, mentorship, and embodied learning.

Today, Kyl’s work in the Outer Banks blends:

-T’ai Chi & Qi Gong

-Kung Fu Foundations

-Music Education & Improvisation

-Zen Gardening & Nature Practice

-Dog Pack Socialization

-Interactive Performances

All offerings are no-contact, adaptable to all ages, and designed to cultivate balance, clarity, strength, and joy.

Why This Work Matters

Modern life pulls us out of rhythm. These practices bring us back.

Through breath, sound, movement, and nature-based awareness, students cultivate:

Greater balance and flexibility

Reduced stress and tension

Stronger mind–body connection

Improved focus and coordination

A grounded calm that carries into daily life

This work is not about perfection.

It is about sustainability, awareness, and enjoyment.
